The parents initially contacted the hotel concierge and were given the number for a private ambulance — at a cost of $1,000. Once the ambulance arrived, the child was picked up and taken to a location provided by the service.

However, upon arrival, it turned out to be a call center — not a medical facility. No examination could be done.
